A Wizard did it

Our adventurers continue their gathering. While the archer company could make it through the forest and cross the river, an elf mage is separated from the main troop. It seems it may need to follo another path.

While the archers could get to the merchant company seeking for help in the farmlands, the rest of reinforcements were separated.
Seems that the ratmen ambush worked, and the troops are now scattered and may perish, outnumbered by their foes.

However, it is not advisable to confront an elf mage.

- Damn rat creatures, we have been separated from the main troop. And yet, we cannot retreat to my tower.

The chaos creatures have routed them far from the main troop, which at this point ust have retreated to the tower. Neither choose the other northern path and cross the river, without knowing that the archer company actually made it.
It must be Soth then, to the farmlands in the route to Tor Nimtala. They could get there and met with the merchant, if they survived.

However, skaven skirmishes will not made the travel easy.

[Daramas thinks that a corrosion spell works fine for stopping the ratmen]

The ratmen felt the power of elf wizardry. They will not assault directly the small group.
In their path, they found some more warriors that scaped the ambush. There is one day of travel to the farmlands. Yet the river crossing seems too far against the endless tides of ratmen.

- It is a pleasure to see you all are fine, my lord.

As expected, they assaulted the camp near the temple at night, expecting that the darkness is their ally against the power of the mage.

[However, the skaven seems to be petrified by the staggering power of Daramas]

Meanwhile, at the South, in the road to the coast and Tor Nimtala, our single adventurer, a young elf swordman from the militia travel to transmitting the news of the attack at the farmlands up North.
When suddendly, ratmen are at it again...

Will the young lady resist her assailants?

Archers ready!

It has been a while but I have been pretty busy. In the meantime I could finish my archers, some skavens to add to the photographs and some side characters to this story.

So be ready for another chapter

Lets Make some Happy Little Trees

Busy weeks, seems that we had to add a grudge to the challenge thing as my only spare month (according to the auto-imposed rules) has already been shot. But instead, I could advance in the terrain thing. So, at least, it is time for another tutorial.

An Ambushed Merchant

It was a cold and unsettling morning. The camp was quiet, even too much quiet for an elf. Then one of the patrols along the tree line discovered, by their horror, that someone have sneaked behind their eyes. They are the retainers of Anarien, an elf merchant of Tor Nimtala, and his tent lies open by a side. Anarien is nowhere to be found. Several boxes and a chest are gone too. The guards start to look for their lord in the forest...

Gaining some momentum

A slow burning but I am glad that I did not lose much of the technique in two years without painting. Not without some loss in my already low speed. But eh! I was not confident that I could paint even the least subtle of the shield or face details.

Fixing the Ulthuan's housing problems (II): From the roof down

So… if we haven’t done something wrong we are ending the house with the roof. Our walls are finished and the glue/varnish cured without warping them.
Here we will build the curved roof and paint everything, as our current project is not one of the Citadel/other companies printable templates and therefore it needs proper details..

Fixing the Ulhuan's housing problems (I)

I am expending those little spare holiday moments to prepare a long run into the painting projects instead of starting the painting itself. And for one of those micro-projects, I've finished something long long forgotten in my workbench.
Yes, it is about housing but in no way related with "where can I put those gazillion miniatures". Neither about actual property market in the elven kingdoms. But let see.
